Hi! I'm due mid February with a little boy. I also have an anterior placenta. @Piccalily19 I am also having extra scans but mine are because I've got a cyst on my ovary (it's nothing serious and will hopefully disappear on its own at some point). I'm kind of looking forward to being able to see my little man a bit more!
We have started thinking of names but it's really tricky - especially because I'm a teacher so a lot of names are on the 'no' list due to student associations!

We've been discussing names on and off. We've opted not to find out the sex, so need options for either! For a girl we have two we really like, but haven't landed on anything that feels right for a boy yet. 😬

19th of feb here with a girl but oh my days do i feel rough. Im suffering Hypermisis and just feel like the pregnancy is a slog i feel guilty that am not enjoying it the way i should as all i want to do is lie down and be sick and i also feel let down that am 24 weeks and not really showing i guess in a way am lucky but i was looking forward to bump bonding. I want to start buying things but am not sure what to buy first ive a few clothes for her but thats it at the moment and as times getting on im feeling less and less prepared. Already got a name though has anyone else thought of a name yet?

@MamaToBeOMG

Hey lovely! Ohhhh I honestly know how you feel. I have HG To! But I'm luckily medicated fluffy(sickness has calmed down from meds) after trying so many diff meds and being admitted loads of times for IV drips I managed to find a med that suited me and calmed my hg at 18/19 weeks. Are you on any meds? Its honestly fine feeling that way, as I know how u feel. You try to enjoy but you cant as you feel miserable most of the times:( I hope it gets better for you sending you al my love. There is a post on here for Expecting mums who are going through HG and on Facebook I'd definitely join 💗 and yeah I've thought of a few names! But i feel like il need to see the baby first now as I'm not sure haha xx

@elfran we're in exactly the same position as you!

elfran · 09/11/2020 15:04

@MamaToBeOMG You poor thing! Honestly I think there is so much ridiculous pressure put on women (which then leads them to put it on themselves) to "enjoy" their pregnancies, but honestly, sometimes, for some women, it just sucks and that's ok too. Guaranteed if men were the ones carrying babies it wouldn't all be sunshine and roses, but rather constant whingeing! So sorry you feel rough, admitting that doesn't mean you're any less excited to be a mum! Please don't add guilt to your plate as well.

@husbandcallsmepickle ah well here's hoping we both have girls then! 😆 I'd honestly be thrilled with either, in fact I originally wanted a boy but have a strong girl vibe but who knows?

27 weeks today! (Same for some of you, if I recall.) 🎉

Has anybody else been making use of the Black Friday sales? We ordered and received our travel system and bedside crib this week, made some good savings. I'm getting stressed with all the boxes in the hallway, but it does make it feel very real!

MamaToBeOMG · 20/11/2020 09:57
