35 weeks and bump just 'cracked'

It was so loud and was accompanied by a massive kick that made my arm jump up as it was resting on my belly. My sister sitting next to me heard it as well, it sounded like cracking a joint but very loud.

Anyone else had this? I've had a few smaller pop/click sounds but nothing as extreme as this!

No waters leaking? I had a massive “pop” at 34 weeks but it was my waters going... DD arrived shortly afterwards...

No nothing that's noticeable! It was up the top of my bump, would waters sound like it's coming from further down?

Honestly don’t remember where the sound came from with me... ! If no sign of any leak then probably not that!

@addler I've had this for weeks!! Sounds like babys joints cracking, right at the top of my bump when baby moves. Only happens occasionally but still freaks me out!

When my waters broke I had a popping sound/sensation down below. Does sound very strange though?

It could be the cartilage between your ribs cracking? It does happen sometimes even when you're not pregnant but if baby is pushing out your ribs as they do at 35 weeks it might be easier to happen?

I've been having this too!! It's so weird but if you google it's not that uncommon. Very strange though!

I had it with first DD, she always used to suck on the back of her hand and then pull it away to make a pop sound, it’s quite common according to my midwife, often sucking thumbs and pulling it out. Could be that
