Hi all.

Just a bit of background.

I have 2 boys, age 10 and 6 from a previous marriage and my now partner has 2 children from previous marriage.

We have been ttc since February 2019. We suffered 2 miscarriages, both around the 8 week mark, both were missed and I needed pessaries to complete them. First MMC was August 2019, second one was May 2020. Now I'm pregnant again and super worried of another miscarriage.

My GP was very good after my 2nd one referred me to a fertility specialist, however this was taking a while. So I paid for a private scan and bloods and sperm check. I'm 34 and my partner 42.

All came back fine from the scan, bloods etc, my partner has a lower than average motility but I don't think that plays a part in miscarrying. The doctor however has placed me on progesterone suppositories and 75mg of aspirin and I'm taking high strength folic acid and vitamins.

My luteal phase can be quite short.. From 10 to 12 dpo I usually start my period so I'm suspecting progesterone is an issue.

Just wodnering if anyone has any nice success stories after 2 losses with a similar background to give me some hope

Thank you 😊

Congratulations.

I had 3 MC's in a row - one early loss, one loss at 8 weeks and MMC of twin girls ( diagnosed later with Trisomy 16). I am now 14 weeks pregnant with a little boy - I took aspirin 75mg from ovulation and progesterone from 6 weeks. All tests have come back good so far so 🤞 this one makes it as I'm not sure I can go through the 1st trimester again.

I really hope that this one is successful for you X x

I have two daughters (6 and 9) and have in the last year had 2 losses, MMc and blighted ovum... I’m now 17 weeks pregnant.... I will warn you though, the worry doesn’t go away (for me, anyway) and I don’t Think I’ll truly believe it until I’m holdi my baby! Congratulations xxxx

I had two losses (Nov 19, Jan 20) before my third pregnancy who is currently 10 months and destroying my living room.

I took low dose aspirin and used progesterone cream during that pregnancy and the whole thing was pretty uneventful. Some bleeding in first 12 months which was later attributed to a sub chronic haemmorage which was reabsorbed by 14 weeks.

I had 2 losses back in 2016/17 then had DD. Then another loss this time last year and now 37 weeks with everything looking fine. I didn't take/do anything different - after my 3rd loss I was referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic but my referral was rejected because I'd had DD. The worry doesn't go away and I feel like all the joy of pregnancy is taken away, but I'm more relaxed this time. I guess because I know it can work out.

I lost two pregnancies back to back in 2018. I started myself on low dose aspirin and got pregnant with my daughter who was born in 2019, had another loss in late 2019 then restarted the aspirin and got pregnant again with my son who is now 1 month old :) so low dose aspirin worked amazingly for me.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I suppose I'm just going to worry until I see a heartbeat and that relaxes me a bit more. Nice to see all your success stories on progesterone and aspirin. Sorry you've all suffered a loss. It's the worst 😔 x

Hi also two losses around 8 weeks. Took aspirin from conception (off my own back, from research this wasn't prescribed) and I am now 20 weeks pregnancy with a healthy little girl 🥰🥰like others have said you'll always worry but for me each little milestone, like 12 week scan, 16 week gender scan, all made the worry lift a little. Wishing you a very happy healthy pregnancy x
