Uppababy Cruz or icandy lime?

After trying out lots of prams, we've decided on either the UppaBaby Cruz or icandy lime. Does anyone have either of these? Which would you recommend?

The cruz... love it!

I had an Icandy peach first time. Not sure they still do them. I didn't like it at all.

But all these things are very personal. What are your needs? Posters may be able to help better if we know what's important to you and how you think you'll use it.

We have an Uppababy Vista, not sure how similar that is to the Cruz, but it has been great and is still going strong (expecting baby 3!).

We have the Cruz. I’ve never tried an Icandy to compare though but we love the Cruz. We bought a cheap stroller type now little one is over 1 but I still keep using the Cruz. Big basket and it’s sturdy. Only thing I’d say is maybe buy the newborn insert for the seat rather than the carrycot. My DS had reflux and didn’t want to lay down flat so it was 250 quid wasted ! The only issue with the Cruz for us is that it takes up our entire car boot hence buying the cheap stroller, but it’s not really been a problem. We will be getting it refurbed for a future DC. Might be worth popping to a John Lewis to try them both out ?

Thanks all, i went to John Lewis yesterday and tried them both out, annoyingly they are fairly similar! I live in a city so don't need all terrain, but still need suspension as the paving slabs are quite uneven everywhere. They both seem slimmer and practical and easy to fold up (caught my fingers in the bugaboo Confused). I'll have to have a think!

Hate to say it, but we bought a Cruz and massively regretted it. I loved it when I tried it in the shops, but for practicality it was terrible! The wheels would get clogged sooo easily and then it would be a nightmare to push. I really struggled with it.

We had both on our list and decided on the Lime. The weight, ease of fold and compactness were the most important to us, as we have a set of external stairs up to our flat. I liked the Cruz but found that it was very "tall" when folded, and given the stairs and how short I am, I'd be carrying it up under my armpit! Loved the shoulder strap on the Lime, it just made the whole thing easier.

This was exactly my experience with the Cruz too, I really didn’t like it. I don’t know anything about the lime, but we got an iCandy Orange after the Cruz became unusable, and I love it.

Have you considered the icandy peach all terrain? It may be a bit over budget or just plain wrong for your needs though

I had the all terrain. Tbh it's great to get over stuff but I found it quite unstable on an incline. Again I had an older version so they may have fixed those issues. Also hard to get on the bus as the wheels at the back were too wide for most busses.

Charlotte2020 · 25/10/2020 12:10

@ChampooPapi we looked at it, but as we'll be 99% in the city and using buses etc the lime is a better option.

We got an Uppababy Vista and love it! Icandy is too heavy and bulky for our lifestyle. Uppababy is a dream if we consider it's weight and size. So easy to build, lift, get into elevators etc.
