Hi, I am 6 weeks pregnant today and have started bleeding. It’s much less than a normal period would be but how do I know if this is normal? I am so worried and don’t know what do do.

Hey, I am actually 7 weeks today and have just went through a similar thing.

The first thing I did was call the Early Pregnancy Unit at the hospital and explained what was happening. They then invited me in for a scan to check on everything because I was having bad cramp on one side as well as bleeding.

The midwife on the phone was very reassuring and understanding. I'm sure if you give them a call they will give you some advice and make you feel better.

At first I felt awkward phoning because I was so early on but they were so nice on the phone, so I wouldn't hesitate if I needed to phone them again.
