Late pregnancy hell

Hi guys, I'm just here to let off some steam and hear from people who are/have been through the same thing. Basically I'm 38+3 and I'm struggling to cope with the last leg of pregnancy. Why is it so hard, Painful, uncomfortable!? My public bone feels like it's kicked constantly it's so sore, my groin feels like it's about to callopse and my pelvis about to seperate. Low back pain as well. Could've sworn I was in labour 4 days ago, even rang the hospital after 4 hours of lower abdominal cramps, inner leg dull aches, radiating back pain! All of which were slowly becoming increasingly painful. Midwife on the phone even said it sounds like early labour.... Then all of a sudden, BAM nothing, everything stopped and I've had nothing since. I could and have sat and cried. Pure torture 😭

I feel you. Been there twice. Currently 19 weeks with number 3 and I can't do anything without it hurting.
My pelvis actually did separate and I'm pretty certain it's going to happen again.

No words or advice - other than you're so close to the end. Each day feels like a month but in a few weeks you get your body back. Sleep with pillows, paracetamol and baths.
Hang in there. I know it's absolutely shit.

Hang in there lovely lady you are so close.
I feel your pain and I'm only just over 36weeks with my third baby.
You are so close to the finish line now try and get as much rest as you can, warm baths or let the hot shower run onto your back.
Have you started any of the old wives tales to get labour going? Xx

LRHRN · 02/11/2020 08:48

Sorry just realised you posted a while ago, hopefully your baby has arrived safely ❤️

zippityzip · 02/11/2020 08:50

Oh shit yeah!

If you're overdue keep going! You must be miserable.

Niffler2019 · 02/11/2020 09:17

Oh I feel your pain op!
I'm 38+3 today & every second is torture. I just want to cry & everyone is saying not long now which isn't much consolation because every day really drags and there is no relief from the pain. I hope you've had baby now? I'm expecting to go over my due date as I was 11 days over last time.

@zippityzip I didn't know your pelvis could actually split! 😳 That must have been excruciating

zippityzip · 02/11/2020 09:41

@Niffler2019 It's actually pretty awful. Especially when you've got younger kids to look after. Your pelvis isn't actually joined at the front by bone, where your pubic arch is, it's ligament or soft tissue (can't remember the exact term) and it literally separated.
Getting out of the car is hilarious.

Someone I know broke their tail bone during labour. Who knew that was a thing!!

inahaze · 02/11/2020 09:49

the only thing i found helped with this was swimming, and now the pools are closing too :(

LRHRN · 02/11/2020 12:55

@zippityzip that sounds absolutely horrendous 😫
I've broken my tailbone before falling downstairs and that in itself was excruciating, that mixed with labour - wow superwoman.
