Hi,

Just found out I'm having a second ds :-)

DH chose the name for our first and now it's my turn and I can't make up my mind although I would like something traditional.....

Here are the current choices would appreciate any comments or inputs:

George Frederick
George Henry
Henry James

Henry James gets the vote from me (not least because I am a fan of the author of the same name!)

James Henry

George Henry flows nicely and George is a fab name

I really dislike the name frederick/fred/freddie so that would be off my list. I like the 2nd one best, My Grandad was George Henry and he got called Harry which I think is lovely

spottyshoes · 14/10/2007 13:03

Also, what goes nicely with DS1's name? as you'll be saying them together

artichokes · 14/10/2007 13:06

Second names don't really matter IMO. 95% of people will immediatley forget his second name. You will spend the rest of your life either shouting out Geroge or Henry.

I would perceive a Henry as upper class and a bit "rah". Nothing wrong with that though. Henry also gives the option of Harry which is nice.

I prefer George. Although right now it makes me think of George Bush (but he will be gone soon ).

thanks for all the inputs :-)

My first ds is called Joseph Thomas - I think Joe and George (Henry) has a nice ring to it :-)

I agree - Joey and Georgie sounds nice as well

spottyshoes · 14/10/2007 13:19

Aw bless, both lovely names

susiemj · 14/10/2007 13:39

I like them all but Henry is a bit rarer than George? I like Henry.

MuffinMclay · 14/10/2007 13:59

They're all lovely. I think George Henry sounds nicest, but it really depends on the surname.

Henry is ds1's middle name (which I tend to forget). Wish I'd kept that free so I could use it as ds2's first name.
