I am 18 weeks pregnant and for the last 2 months have had the worst skin of my life, it’s significantly worse than when I was a teenager! Any hints and tips on creams or products to help? I just want this pregnancy glow everyone talks about!! Lol

Omg im 9 weeks and my face and chest is covered in spots. I look awful and my nausea is so bad I havent even been able to wear makeup i just don't have the energy or drive to take care in my appearance like that atm.. but now I feel I need to put makeup on to hide them but that will probably only make them worse!!.. iv tried different face washes and face masks but no change 😔 i hope our spots go soon!

I feel your pain! Pregnancy acne has followed me all the way through my pregnancy so far and it’s worsening now at 32 weeks. I’ve been told it’s hormonal so although I’ve switched my skin care routine to use all simple products it won’t get rid of it. It’s helped manage it on my face but my neck and back are awful.
I think it’s about finding what works for you depending on your skin type, my doctor says over washing/ cleansing etc can make it worse but not cleansing your skin enough can do the same.
I am moisturising regularly and drinking extra amounts of water to help.
Hopefully yours doesn’t last as long as mine!
It’s a small price to pay for a beautiful baby at the end, that’s what I keep reminding Myself anyway!

Google:

Caroline Hirons pregnancy acne
Dr Sam pregnancy acne

Both have articles/videos about this that are super helpful

Dr Sam recommends Niacinamide, it really helped my skin. You can buy it from The Ordinary for under £10
