Based on this test result, would you think you were pregnant or not?

Yes! This is stonger than my line at about 4 days before af due (although that was an internet cheapy).

Congratulations Smile

Yes I would!

So it's a bit complicated. Been TTC for a few months. I had a period type bleed (heavy) which ended a week ago. I assumed not pregnant but felt odd so did a cheap test a few days later. It was inconclusive - I couldn't be sure I wasn't imagining the line. I've done a few more since, all inconclusive. This one is a home blood test.

I'm confused. I was sure the bleeding was my period and I wasn't pregnant.

There's definitely a very faint line there but I'd try a urine test, ideally a First Response Early Result to know for sure.

I did a cheap test yesterday but couldn't work out whether there was a line or not (pic attached). I've ordered a first response test. Surely it should show up stronger than now if it's positive?

It may have been a chemical pregnancy and the tests are showing up residual hCG?

User875679 · 22/10/2020 18:36

I thought it might be that too, but I've been testing regularly for the past couple of weeks and I've never got a "strong" positive so it's not as if the line is now getting fainter due to hcg levels decreasing. I was hoping doing a blood test would confirm it absolutely one way or the other Confused.

How strong the test should be depends on how many dpo you are or how late your period is. If you were 10dpo I'd expect it to be v faint but if your period is a week late you'd expect a strong positive. Let us know how you get on with the FRER x

ShalomToYouJackie · 22/10/2020 22:27

I also see a faint line in your second picture so hopefully you can do a FRER and then another 48 hours later and see a noticeable difference in the darkness of the test

Hi, just thought I'd update. Things haven't got any clearer. I did a FRER and no line, so assumed negative. But then I tried another blood test and cheapo test today and there's a faint line on the blood test and what could be a faint line (but I could also be imagining it) on the cheap urine test. In heart of heart, I think I'm probably not pregnant since the line on the urine test would be stronger by now (I'd be at least 4-5 weeks by now), but any opinions or advice would be welcome.
