I'm 8 +4 today and 12 weeks seems so far away

I'm so nervous after 2 losses already this year

I don't really know the point of this post but it makes me feel better to talk to you lovelies that are in the same boat

I know how you feel. I had 2 losses this year too. Currently 10 weeks and it’s been so slow. Have you had a private scan? That would help too.

Semele5069 · 21/10/2020 19:48

Same here, this is the furthest I've ever got in a pregnancy after 2 early miscarriages. I'm at 11 weeks now but was going out of my mind a few weeks ago feeling like i could tolerate the anxiety and waiting for something to go wrong. A private scan at 9 and a bit weeks really helped as the odds are so good once everything looks ok at 9-10 weeks.

@Meomeomeo @Semele5069 congratulations ladies sorry to hear about your losses.

I had an early scan at 7 weeks and everything was fine but it feels like an age ago

My symptoms seem to come and go as well which plays tricks with my mind

I have my first midwife appointment on the 28th although it's only over the phone

Yup I'm in same boat. I've never poked and prodded my boobs so much! Symptoms seem to be fleeting so I'm always thinking the worst 😕

BeeMakesTea · 22/10/2020 10:28

I’m in the same position, had 2 losses already this year and now 11 weeks pregnant. The second loss was a blighted ovum and I didn’t find out until the 12 week scan (which I had to go to alone). This time I had a private scan at 8 weeks which was all fine and very reassuring at the time but the further we get from it the more I think something will have gone wrong since then. My scan is on Tuesday and can’t come quick enough!

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 22/10/2020 10:43

@Chopsuey1 people always tell me symptoms come and go and everyone is different but it doesn't help. How long until your scan?

@BeeMakesTea aw not long to go until you scan 🥳. I thought an early scan would reassure me and it did for about a week and then the worry crept back in. My OH is so calm about the whole thing he just says we can't change anything so why worry 🙄 wish I had that sense of calm 😂

Waiting for the 12 week scan does seem to take an eternity, and somehow the 20 week scan seemed to take even longer to come. I started counting down the days when there were still 4 weeks to go Blush

No advice really except to say that your feelings are understandable and very normal x

CoalCraft · 22/10/2020 10:49

"we can't change anything so why worry" is a very good philosophy, though I've struggled to apply it to pregnancy tbh!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 22/10/2020 10:49

It really is the longest wait. I had two private scans whilst waiting for mine with DD2.

Good luck to all of you.

LaMadrilena · 22/10/2020 11:36

Same here! I'm 10w, and 2 more weeks feels like an eternity. I've had 2 early scans due to ongoing UTI and everything was fine, and I've still got loads of pregnancy symptoms, but for some reason I'm convinced it's going to be bad news at the 12w scan. Plus I've had to come off antidepressants due to the pregnancy, so am being really negative about everything!

VoyageInTheDark · 22/10/2020 11:43

I'm also 8 weeks and it feels like it's taking forever. My symptoms also come and go so I'm either feeling rough or worrying why I don't feel rough!

Amelia891 · 22/10/2020 11:56

Fed up of waiting here too! I’m 11+4 but still have 2 weeks to wait as my scan isn’t until I’m 13+3!! Feels so far away. I’m just trying to keep busy but the days are going slowwwwly.

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 22/10/2020 13:33

@CoalCraft I'm doing my best to think that way but it's tricky 😂 men have such a different way of thinking my OH has always been so laid back nothing really phases him it's kind of good in a way he's been my rock and kept me sane through our 2 previous losses
