Sorry but I need to tell someone!

I’M PREGNANT!!

My period wasn’t due until tomorrow but for some reason I just knew I had to take a test and it’s came back positive. I’m over the moon but I’m also so nervous. I’ve had 3 miscarriages straight off and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to relax.

Sorry for the ramble but my OH won’t be home until late tonight and I just can’t contain myself!

Oh wow congratulations, that’s such wonderful news. I hope all goes well and you have a good pregnancy!

I know it’ll be difficult not to worry after what you’ve been through but I guess you just need to take one day at a time and surely this is your chance finally to have your baby Flowers

Enjoy telling your OH Smile

Congratulations! Take it easy and enjoy telling dh!
So pleased for you x
I'm also pregnant after miscarriages and you will be nervous and worried but I think that's to be expected. Flowers

Thank you everyone!

Each month has been torture hoping I was pregnant then bleeding. I’m hoping it’s my time now. I’ve got 2 children already which I’m extremely grateful for, but it’s just the heartache each month of trying.

My miscarriages were all between 7-10 weeks. I’m thinking slightly ahead now which I know I shouldn’t, but would I be offered any early scans because of this does anyone know?

Unfortunately no @doingitforthefrill - they dont offer extra scans as theres nothing they can do. Brutal, but that's underfunded healthcare for you.

If you start bleeding or experiencing v heavy cramping after 7 weeks then the EPU will likely offer a scan. They dont offer prior to that as theres no guarantee of them seeing anything at all.

Hoping that this little one sticks and congratulations on your BFP

@TheDaydreamBelievers - Thank you. I did think that would be the case, but I was sure a friend said she was sent for early scans before when she went through multiple miscarriages.

I think I’ll probably end up going private for early scans when the time comes so it may help me relax a little more in between

@doingitforthefrill congratulations on your announcement! I had 3 consecutive miscarriages all between 6-9 weeks but was blessed with our beautiful rainbow baby boy in August this year. In our area as we had gone through 3 miscarriages we were lucky enough to get 3 early scans on the NHS so had one at 8 1/2 weeks one at just over 10 weeks our 12 week scan as normal (we really couldn't believe we had finally got to this stage and saw a heartbeat as so many times it had been bad news and so upsetting to have to go through yet another one) and we were then offered one at what should of been around 15 weeks but this was cancelled so was done at 17 1/2 weeks instead and as we were a bit further along we we able to find out the sex at this one which was amazing as due to covid my husband wasn't able to attend the 20 week one. It's been a roller coaster of a journey to finally get to where we are today but we never gave up and it just goes to show that dreams do come true and it can happen so I'm sending you lot's of positive vibes that you will get your happy ending.

@doingitforthefrill thank you!
I was told to phone the EPU because of my previous miscarriages, they made me come in for a scan when I was 7wks +2, it was very thorough, they even told me I had ovulated from my right ride, that I had a fibroid and we could see the baby and heartbeat was 125. They had on their report that I was measuring 6wks and 3 days which has made me panic a bit but trying not to stress.
I've booked a private scan for next week to see if there has been growth.
It would be worth phoning EPU to see if they could see you.
Good luck x

Congrats. I had a baby after 2 miscarriages. No extra scans so I paid privately. I also took 75mg or low dose aspirin every day (first 12 weeks, then extended to 26 weeks as family history of pre-eclampsia) and now I have a ten month old little boy.

Everything crossed for you.
