Spotting at 12 weeks

Hi All,
I have had some brown spotting at 12 weeks pregnant. I had a scan last week following an earlier bleed caused by a haematoma and the baby had a heartbeat and was wiggling about. I have my official dating scan tomorrow but obviously I am so scared something is going wrong. I spoke to the EPU and they said it was unlikely to be a MC because they would expect symptoms to be much more severe at 12 weeks Has anyone else experienced spotting at 12 weeks or throughout pregnancy? Trying not to freak out but I have an anxiety disorder so that’s easier said then done Confused

Hi @Bellaboo11

I literally logged on to write the same thing. 12 week scan tomorrow and I'm spotting again. I had the same at 6 and 10 weeks but it stopped and scans looked good. Im so scared about tomorrow. I cant face bad news, I've had 2 miscarriages before this pregnancy and a long ttc journey so I'm now a bit of a wreck.

I know this isn't an answer but im offering a hand hold x

@JeffV - fingers crossed everything is Ok. It’s so hard not to worry. This is my first pregnancy so I don’t know what to expect. All we can do is stay calm, I guess what will be will be. Thinking of you x

Hi both. Sorry you are going through this. I had sporting and bleeding all the way through my DD pregnancy - spotting at 4 and 6 weeks, a scary gush at 8 weeks and then bleeding all the way up until 24 weeks! It was horrible and no real reason was ever given.

But it was OK and DD is 4 next month, so it can happen.

Keeping all crossed for you both. Hope you can take it easy today x

I had spotting at 14 weeks and nothing came of it and pregnancy continued as normal
