So I was spotting on Saturday night, that calmest down but started again on Sunday evening, all through night and day on Monday on and off. Monday night passed a small clot and was bleeding on and off yesterday, seemed to subside like late yesterday. Epu scanned me yesterday afternoon and baby there heartbeat going, no sign if anything to cause the bleeding. Great stuff! Since about half 10 last night, bleeding more, git woken by a butif a gush and been passing clots all night. Rang epu (at different hospital as mine closed overnight) and were just like you'll have to wait another 2 weeks for a scan, we can't tell you anything now but lots of chat of possible miscarriage. I just can't comprehend how 12 hrs agon all was fine and no sign to suggest anything wrong and now I am passing huge clots. How is it right I won't be able to find out if I have lost this baby for 2 weeks? I dont really know why I'm posting am just so lost

I'm sorry it's very difficult going though these times. As they have said to you, it could be the start of a loss or it could be fine. You might have a subchorionic haematoma which can cause quite a lot of bleeding. Having had bleeding and then a subsequent good scan is reassuring for you. Perhaps give your own EPU a call in the morning and talk to them about the situation. As they have already seen you they may be more willing to see you again sooner. I'm not sure what their policies are but bleeding in pregnancy is very common but nonetheless absolutely anxiety inducing. How many weeks are you?

ColdCottage · 21/10/2020 05:22

I'd call the other EPU in the morning. They will see you in a few days I'm sure. I had some big bleeds and all was fine. Not clots and I'm not an expert but it doesn't always mean MC

Hugs as it's scary and you feel so powerless. Call a friend in the morning for support too. It will help talking in RL too

Thanks for the replies, when these things happen in the middle of the night it always seems so much worse as no one to really talk to. I'm 10 weeks x

I’d call the same EPU that scanned you. They will see you again. Sometimes bleeding just happens.

Miscarriage unfortunately this morning, feels so cruel after they were so positive after the scan yesterday
