Pregnant after miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage last month. Bleeding stopped around the 11/09, at hospital 14/09 where a scan confirmed everything had added and my womb was clear. I also gave a urine sample so assuming it was tested too.
DH asked yesterday if I'd had a period since the MC, as he thought I might be pregnant (he has a very weird 6th sense about my pregnancies) I took a test yesterday evening - positive straight away, another this morning with FMU - positive. This being I've taken a clear blue weeks indicator that says 2-3 wks, 4-5 by drs (although I've not had a period so not sure how they will date).
Long story short - could the positive be from the MC or is it a new pregnancy?
I know there is no knowing for sure until I get scanned, but I'm just worrying myself and after your wisdom.
Thanks 😊

If the bleeding wasn't too heavy it could have been implantation bleeding in which case you could very well be pregnant still
I have also had a miscarriage earlier in the year I now think I might be pregnant again. It was pretty clear to me I was having a miscarriage and the doctor confirmed it I also had a lot of back pain with it did you have anything like that? Also if it gives you a peace of mind I had a negative pregnancy test about weeks later. Sounds like you are still pregnant so definitely get it checked out

Good luck I hope it's good news for you

(my one watch out is although it's rare some people continue to have the pregnancy hormone for up to 6 weeks although this definitely wasn't the case for me)

It was definitely miscarriage as the bleeding was extremely heavy - I ended up in A&E, it lasted nearly 2 weeks. I also had a scan originally that showed a sac then a layer scan which showed an empty womb.

Just hoping this is a new one. If not I'd be 16weeks plus.

@speakfriendandenter hi I’m sorry to hear of your loss. A similar thing happened to me. I had a miscarriage in July with bleeding lasting for around 5 days. Along comes August and no period... I thought that it may just be my cycles trying to get back on track. I took a test a few days after I was supposedly due and it was positive. I’m now 13 weeks and everything is healthy and great.

I did not have a scan or anything to confirm my miscarriage. I was advised that once the bleeding has stopped I should wait 7 days to take another test, this should appear negative. So by the sounds of it this could be a new pregnancy.

Thank you smp, I hope so. Great news for you!! Smile
I have another weeks indicator so I'll do that next week and see if it's going up. If it is I'll contact GP/midwife and hope for a scan soon as I'm not really sure when I conceived.
