9dpo BFP, too soon to get excited?

I took a FRER about an hour ago as an IC showed a faint line this morning. I’m only 9dpo and my FRER looks like this (photo taken 5 mins after I took the test)! I don’t want to get too excited though as I know it’s still very early, but I want to just dance around my living room and sing 😆

How has anyone else preoccupied their time after an early BFP to take their mind off thinking about tests and pregnancy?

Congratulations. I got mine at 9dpo too and was just so excited! No advice for passing the time until you pass AF date sorry lol

Moo31 · 20/10/2020 16:31

Congrats!

My first bfp which was over 3 yrs ago I spent the whole day in work making myself cups of tea as I couldn't concentrate!

Today almost 4 yrs later I am the same again ... v faint lines on test this morning really hoping to get a stronger line tomorrow!

I think that’s a definite positive. Congratulations. I think you’re ok to be excited

Nam095 · 20/10/2020 18:11

@Moo31 ha I was trying to concentrate on my work since I took the test but I couldn’t! It’s funny this is my 4th cycle since ttc and I have practically no symptoms at all but every cycle before I had loads from the progesterone! Very odd.

Oh I hope you get a clear BFP soon! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

BFP! I couldn't focus on anything else for about the first... 4 weeks so far!

Moo31 · 20/10/2020 23:31

That's crazy OP - your body was playing tricks on you! Have you contacted your doctor yet?

I tested again tonight - bit stronger i think ... the one on the left? The next one was this morning's and the two on the right are yesterday's which I thought were negatives! My period isn't due until tomorrow so hoping tomorrow's will be a more definite BFP!

@Moo31 yes definitely haha! Feeling some symptoms today though. I think I’ll wait until after my period is actually late which will be Monday next week so still a while to go 🙊

The most recent one definitely looks positive!! Hope it gets stronger for you ☺️

Oh wow! Does seeing the word "pregnant" make it feel any more real!?

FallingStar · 21/10/2020 16:40

Congratulations!

Nam095 · 21/10/2020 18:41

@FallingStar thank you ☺️

@Moo31 no not yet 🤣 I don’t know when it’ll start feeling real! Maybe when or if I start throwing up haha. I’m thinking of getting a private scan at around 8 weeks just to check everything is ok and then I can hear the heartbeat that’ll make it feel real definitely ☺️

Congratulations! Not too soon! I've been incredibly lucky that all of my BFP's have turned into healthy children.

Moo31 · 21/10/2020 19:19

12 weeks feels very far away doesn't it? I got a private scan at 7 weeks last time and it definitely helped settle me :) hopefully none of the throwing up lol!

Jr9901 · 21/10/2020 21:25

Woo hoo congratulations! 😁 I don’t think it’s possible to totally preoccupy the mind after a BFP...or during pregnancy actually! I got a very very faint line also at 9DPO this morning..fingers crossed. This is the downside to early testing though you have so long to wait!!

Congrats @Jr9901!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 21/10/2020 22:00

@Nam095 wooop! I remember you from the conception threads. Congratulations!!!

Nam095 · 22/10/2020 14:18

@Jr9901 congratulations! That’s a nice line ☺️

@TheDaydreamBelievers yes I remember you too! Thank you I still can’t quite believe it. Is it weird that I kind of had a feeling this would be my month? I felt ‘different’ this time round, if that makes sense haha

Hi all,

Sorry to jump on this thread a couple of years later but wondered what the outcomes were for you all? I have tested positive this morning at 9dpo (maybe 10dpo) 3 tests taken including one digital and all positive! I'm so excited as we lost our first pregnancy at 7 weeks almost 8 months ago now but because I've found out so early I'm so so worried it will be chemical or the lines will fade. Hopefully i am just overthinking! Any advice would be amazing :)

Tryingagain01 · 31/10/2022 10:55

@Hummingbird93 congratulations! It's not too soon to get the positive. It's no way to know how it will evolve. But I don't see any reason now to be pessimistic. You will just have to wait and see how things go. So sorry for your loss and fingers crossed for your new pregnancy.

Hummingbird93 · 31/10/2022 11:16

@Tryingagain01 thank you so much for your message :) keeping everything crossed for a straightforward, healthy pregnancy. xx
