Cervical length scans

Evening,

When having cervical length scans from 16 weeks onwards - is this transvaginal? Do they give you a little peak at baby when they carry out or do they only focus on the cervix?

Hey, mine were transvaginal, it's harder to measure abdominally. They did have an abdominal look at baby first though, in fact that's how I found out the gender early! Worth an ask if they don't do it as standard. Good luck.

Yes transvaginal, it doesn't hurt at all, you get very used to it after a while! I got to see baby at every scan, and my consultant just kept printing pictures too so ended up with an album full, including even a couple of 4d ones! It was brill, I'm hoping for the same in this pregnancy but I imagine they won't be quite so generous this time around.

I got to see baby every time and got some printed. It is transvaginal. I have my last one in a few weeks. It’s not the nicest but It doesn’t hurt or anything and getting to see bean every time Really helps
