Hi all. I’ve had a little bit of a rough ride with pregnancy so far. Was in hospital with ohss after ivf, also had covid. While I was there I had bloods daily and they showed my liver bloods were off, they told me to get them redone by my go when I got home. Anyway I’m had more done today but the last few days I’ve been itching like crazy it’s kept me awake all night and I have also noticed the whites of my eyes have a yellow tint to them.

I am freaking out obviously. Can anyone shed some light?

Firstly, I hope your journey gets a bit easier for you. I had this in my last pregnancy albeit only from 32 weeks. I was diagnosed with Obstetric Cholestasis. This was picked up on a routine blood test with my midwife but I had mentioned the itching. I'm not sure how early this starts in pregnancy but maybe worth a check? It basically affects the liver function. I was monitored weekly from 32 weeks & induced at 37 weeks. I was given tablets to take. Good luck! I hope it eases off xx

Hiya, I think you should get in touch with your GP as soon as you can.

Link to NHS website that seems to match your symptoms: www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/itching-obstetric-cholestasis-pregnant/

Thank you. I spoke to me gp this morning and his attitude was just to wait for my blood results from today, which could take a week. It’s so frustrating because previous bloods have already shown an issue and now I’m having pretty bad symptoms but I have to wait again 😣
