Hi! Had my implant out on 18th August (9 month out of date)
I’ve been eagerly awaiting my period and there’s just no sign! So I’ve done 4 test over this week and they’re all positive. Has anyone else fell so soon after having the implant out and not had a period. I’m so paranoid my body won’t be ready as I haven’t has a full cycle or something will be wrong with the baby 😭

I'm just coming off the implant now abs periods have been quite hit and miss to be honest I thought it would all just go back to normal Confused

Before your period, you ovulate. If you get pregnant from that ovulation, you wouldn't get a period - so you simply caught that first egg.

Having had the implant and no period since is only relevant because it's difficult to date your pregnancy. It will have no biological implant.

*impact!!! Not implant at the end... poor night's sleep... tired.

Morning, it happened first time for us too, had the implant taken out on the 5th august, short 4 day period on the 9th august, waited about 54 days for the next period....which never arrived, caved and tested and had a positive preggo test 👍🏻

I fell pregnant straight away. Although I did bleed lightly for one day, a week after removal. I had no issues in pregnancy except trying to date it but that was sorted with a scan. Baby is now a crazy toddler Smile

I was pregnant within a month of having the implant out, don’t think I had a period either. This was 2014 though so can’t exactly remember haha

I fell pregnant literally straight away after having it removed, I’m now 16 weeks, and so far so all good! Good luck x

Oh girls you’ve really all put my mind at ease. I’ve really been worrying.
I really thought I’d have trouble getting pregnant. I can’t believe it’s happened so soon! I went straight to Boots to get some tampax the day my implant got took out because I thought I’d be trying for ages. Those might not be needed for a while now 🙈
