I’m 25 weeks pregnant, was just on the toilet (having a poo) and had quite a long stringy yellow thing hanging out of me. Unsure if this is discharge or mucus plug?

That doesn't look like a plug to me. It's usually much thicker like jelly and slightly blood streaked.

Doesn't look like a mucus plug to me. Looks like discharge. Our bodies produce some weird things while we are pregnant lol. My mucus plug was a lot more thick and bloody but if you do have any concerns or worried then contact your midwife for some support and advice Smile

It's not the plug it's just discharge. It is perfectly normal, happens throughout pregnancy and tends to make a mess of your knickers. It is the body's response to protecting the cervix and keeping the vagina free of infection.
Also next time you are posting photos give a little heads up in the title 👍

Nope, this isn’t it. When you see it you’ll know! Mine splashed into the toilet and was big enough to make a noise as it landed!

I lost mine yesterday at 34+4 and it was literally like a huge clump of Vaseline.
You can lose it in stages but it regenerates if you aren't ready to go into labour so it could be part of it. I wouldn't worry unless you start contracting, waters break or there is any blood/blood tinged discharge xx
