6 weeks pregnant and light pink bleeding/brown stringy discharge

Hello all, first time posting on here and feeling so miserable. I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and have had brown discharge turn into light pink bleeding when I wipe and on pantyliner since 5 weeks. Everyday it has been like this. I had a miscarriage in Feb at 10 weeks and it was as some of you will know the most horrible traumatic experience as it all happened at home. I had a very healthy first pregnancy and my son is 2 now.

I don’t have it in me to ring EPU as the experience last time was awful, I will just wait it out.

I just want to know is there any chance I am not miscarrying and anyone else going through this?

Thank you

I went through this at the same point, even had red blood, it went on for a few days- almost like a period. I was terrified as I'm sure you are but that little bean hung on and is now 7! Fingers crossed for you but keep hoping x

Bubblebox · 18/10/2020 21:47

Yes I had this for a few weeks. Pink when wiping mixed in with brown stringy discharge.
Like you, I waited it out as I couldn't face the epu. It stopped at about 19 weeks and I am now 38 weeks.
Everything crossed for you. Flowers

Bubblebox · 18/10/2020 21:47

Stopped at 10 weeks. Not 19.

Holding your hand @KayT1 💕
I'm in pretty much the same situation as you. I'm about 6/7 weeks and have had a bleed that lasted from last Sunday through to Thursday. I'm booked in with EPU on Thursday morning.

Hello, last time I had to take 3 trips to EPU to detect the heartbeat and the wait in between was just full of anxiety and the ladies there were quite clinical and spoke to me in routine. I just felt so sad and empty after my appointments at EPU that I just dread booking one. Hope everything goes well at your scan, please keep me posted Xx

@Piixxiiee this morning I wiped and it was really red blood and I have lower back pain with it. It is so terrifying, I really hope this bean fight through too xx So happy for you that yours did, women go through so much with children from conception x

@Bubblebox Mine has switched from brown to pink to red today. Feeling so worried I cannot even focus on looking after my boisterous 2 year old, burst in to tears three times in front of him and he just calmed down from jumping around which is a good thing at the moment! Did yours stain pantyliners?

Hi kayt1 I'm just wondering how it turned out for you? I'm 7 weeks and having pains a bloody discharge I'm so worried :( x

KayT1 · 18/11/2020 22:13

@OliviaGrace15 Hey, the bleeding/discharge suddenly stopped at around 8 weeks since then I have had nausea, UTIs, needed to go to the loo all the time coupled with lots of hunger which my GP thought were good signs the pregnancy is progressing and no need for a EPU referral. My first scan is next Friday and I am 11 weeks. Please try not to get worried like I did, easier said than done I know but mine turned out to be implantation bleeding and that is common.

@kayt1 thank you so much for replying lovely ☺️ the other thing that's worrying me is I have no symptoms like I did with my other kids, apart from the stomach cramps I feel pretty normal, I have a private scan on Sunday just praying baby is ok, I'm glad everything was ok for you ♥️

KayT1 · 18/11/2020 23:00

@OliviaGrace15 I also did not have any symptoms while I was bleeding etc the nausea came after everything stopped and btw I had no symptoms at all with my first baby and that was a very healthy home birth pregnancy :)

That's reassuring thank you ☺️ I'm just wondering if it would be too late to me implantation bleeding for me? I'll be 7 weeks in the morning xx

Hi all,

I am going through a similar thing at the moment. It's reassuring to read your posts. Early scan booked for Tuesday which seems forever away. No real pain, some cramping...started with light pink and has been more bright red today and yesterday. It's not heavy so i'm hoping it's ok. Hope everyone here is doing ok.

OliviaGrace15 · 19/11/2020 22:03

Hi @allusernamesaretaken2020 I've had more pink blood today and still cramping, clearblue isn't giving me much hope because I'm 7 weeks and it's gone down to 1-3 three days till my scan and it feels forever away too, I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy x

allusernamesaretaken2020 · 19/11/2020 22:10

@OliviaGrace15
It’s so confusing and hard to know isn’t it? I have just had more bleeding, it’s feeling like a period now. Cramps and bloating. If I hadn’t taken a test this would just feel like time of the month.

Some bleeding is definitely normal and from what I’ve read lots of women do go on to have healthy pregnancies.
I’m not sure how accurate the clear blue tests are to be honest.

Wishing you all the best. Will keep my fingers crossed for you and your scan on Sunday x

OliviaGrace15 · 19/11/2020 22:16

It's such a stressful time honestly, thank you ♥️ I have everything crossed for you on Tuesday aswell xx

allusernamesaretaken2020 · 19/11/2020 22:30

@OliviaGrace15

Thank you so much. Let's hope we are worrying over nothing xx

mummytippy · 19/11/2020 22:42

I had slight bleeding every 3-4 weeks from being about 6 weeks up to about 18 weeks. I went on to have a healthy boy born on his due date in the end.

It was terrifying as I'd had a miscarriage before that pregnancy and feared it was happening again. I got to the point where I couldn't look when ever I went to the loo.

I have everything crossed for you xx

RainbowTime · 20/11/2020 00:19

Hi,

Sorry to hear you’re all going through this too.

I’m 5.5weeks and heavy bleeding bright red with clots. It just started heavy and all of a sudden on Monday. It’s my 5th pregnancy and all previous pregnancies have been losses so not holding out any hope for this one either. I’m under a recurrent miscarriage clinic and my consultant just dismissed it and said it’s normal. I’ve no confidence at all and this is the most I’ve ever bled without pain - periods and miscarriages. They won’t scan me until the middle of next week and I feel I already know the outcome.

Best of luck to you all, pregnancy is awful (my experiences of it anyway!).

allusernamesaretaken2020 · 20/11/2020 22:11

@RainbowTime

Sorry to hear you’ve had such an awful time. It’s such a worry. I have booked a private scan for tomorrow. My bleeding continues and I feel I already know the news isn’t good but just want to confirm. I figure at least if I know then I can start to process it. The not knowing is the worst thing for me.

Wishing you the very best for your scan xx

RainbowTime · 20/11/2020 22:24

@allusernamesaretaken2020 thank you. Sending positive thoughts and best of luck for tomorrow.

Here to talk any time as are these other lovely ladies xx

allusernamesaretaken2020 · 20/11/2020 22:25

@RainbowTime
Thank you so much. How are you doing? X

RainbowTime · 20/11/2020 23:08

@allusernamesaretaken2020 bleeding has slowed but I’m pretty sure on the outcome once again. Wonderful end to a wonderful year eh. Could be worse I guess, but thanks for asking xx

RainbowTime · 22/11/2020 19:40

@allusernamesaretaken2020 you ok? Xx
