3rd trimester movements

Just wondering how often anyone has felt movement in their 3rd trimester and how strong these are?
In the last 9 days ive noticed that movements haven't been as strong and he only moves if I or my partner is touching my tummy.
I had a scan last week which showed reduced growth for a second week in a row however his CTGs have been fine.
I have a CTG tomorrow however am still worried that he's not moved a lot recently.
I have anxiety and have worried about him throughout the pregnancy however if it wasnt for his reduced growth I wouldn't be as worried

I'd be going in tonight if you're worried. I was in a lot towards the end of my pregnancy and was induced at 37 weeks due to no growth from baby since the last scan 2 weeks prior. I know your booked in tomorrow but if you are worried and seeing a change id give them a call

I'm sure little one is all ok but it's always best to go in

I'm currently 38+5. Like pp have said if you have any concerns about reduced movements you should contact the delivery suite. They advise you to call if you have any concerns. They will see you as many times as you want if you have concerns about movement.

However, they do say you may not feel as many kicks as the baby grows but you should count all movements. Wether it's stretches, rolls, hiccups or wriggling.

Try drink a nice cold drink with ice in or a slush puppy. See if that helps. (That's what they will offer you.)

In my third trimester my movements softened more like she was gently nudging me rather than kicks. They followed the same pattern as before, sometimes I could see movements I couldn't feel so watch your bump too

Phoning in is the right thing to do. I hope everything goes ok

Hiccups don’t count as a movement because they’re involuntary. A poorly baby can still have the hiccups.

Movements may feel a little different in the third trimester, more rolls and wriggles than full on kicks due to lack of space. However the frequency of the movements shouldn’t reduce. Any concerns, always contact your midwives.
