Pink discharge at 10 weeks

I had a tiny bit of pink discharge when I went to toilet and wiped last night. I have just been now and had a much more significant amount, I had a miscarriage last year and am getting myself in a right state about it. I spoke to the epu last night and they said basically unless I was doubled over in pain and I had blood dripping down my legs would they see me or even think about an early scan (I'm just waiting to hear when my first scan will be). Just wondered if anyone had experienced similar?

You should try the epu again or a different epu or even a private scan to ease your mind. Spotting happens and sometimes for no reason. I did at 6.5 weeks and I know how you feel. I was in such a state. Epu did see me and there was a heartbeat. Couldn’t explain the spotting either. I’m now 10 weeks and still watching out for spotting. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks, I am tempted to get a private scan as our local clinic has some appointments this afternoon but I'm still waiting to hear when my 12 week scan is and does there have to be a certain amount of time between scans?

I don’t think so. At 10 weeks it should be external. If it’s internal scan then they like to leave it a week apart if possible.

@preggersteach personally I would book a private scan. It really annoys me that epu won't see you. I have had 2 miscarriages and both started with light spotting, thankfully my epu saw me straight away. Wishing you all the best and hoping that bean is a sticky one for you xx

Just to update I had some crazy bleeding last night and have passed a few clots so the epu saw me today and all fine by some miracle!! Was preparing ourselves for the worst news, can't quite believe it

@preggersteach that’s such good news. Bleeding is such a worry and seems really common but doesn’t make you worry any less xx

Unfortunately had a miscarriage this morning, can't believe it especially with everything seemingly okay yesterday
