Hi guys, I'm having a bit of a hard time. I feel terrible all the time. Im 7 weeks and 1 day. I'm so exhausted I can barely do anything, I'm having trouble sleeping, I feel sick on and off throughout the day and just feel unhappy. I feel like everything is on top of me at the moment and don't know how to deal with it. I have never experienced anything like this with my other pregnancies. I'm hoping this is something that will pass but I hate feeling like this. Anyone experienced anything similar?

I think I felt like this for all of first trimester. Can you go to GP and get some weeks signed off and just relax?

LorrieLu · 18/10/2020 12:39

Hi @Horehound what do you mean get some weeks signed off?

I mean if you are working can you get signed off?

Otherwise ask gp if there's anything you can take.
Feeling overwhelmed well...it is a horrible time right now and you have a tonne of hormones ploughing through your body. Do you have someone to talk to?

Hi OP, I’m 14 weeks with baby no2 and I found the first trimester so much harder this time around. Doesn’t help having to run around after an almost 3 year old of course but like you said I found it far too easy to slip into low mood and was exhausted and nauseous 24/7. I do feel better now I’m into the 2nd trimester but I’m still knackered 😂
Hope you’re feeling better soon! Try and be kind to yourself whenever you can xx

I felt like that until week 16! Rest and nap where you can.

I just wanted to sympathise. I’m 9+2 with my first and I could have written this post. I’ve spent the whole weekend in bed feeling knackered and sick, and just generally fed up. COVID isn’t helping either and the change in weather.
I think it is normal for some pregnancies, and everyone says it will get better. I just wanted to let you know you’re not alone, hugs

First few weeks completely wipe you out. Take it easy and rest.

Thank you all for your replies. My husband and I have a business so don't need a certificate to get time off. My husband has been good and has been doing majority of the work. I can talk to him but no one else as we haven't told anyone about the pregnancy yet. I'll be ok, just have to get through the next couple of months and hopefully enjoy my last pregnancy ❤️
