7 dpo and spotting

Hi all, new here.

So I'm 7 dpo (yes I know, VERY early). But from 5dpo I've had mild symptoms, such as cramping/backache/metallic taste. Noticed more discharge than what I'd usually get at this time of my cycle.

DTD with my DP last night, and noticed a pink 'blood' afterwards. I never ever bleed after DTD - could this be spotting this early? Should I test or wait for after 10 dpo.

Thanks all x

Hi fairyphie1

I'd say it's still very early to say either way. The symptoms you are experiencing could be normal PMS syndromes, as the egg wouldn't implant until 6dpo at the very earliest so they are unlikely to be pregnancy related.
As for the spotting, that could be either. I got spotting 9dpo with mine and I knew it was possibly pregnancy as it was far too early for period spotting. If it is implantation bleeding then you won't show positive on a test yet anyway as your body needs a few days to release enough hcg.
I'd wait it out as hard as it is. I got my first positive 12dpo, but really it's best to wait until your period is due. Definitely wait until at least 10dpo, or 3 days after your spotting. Try to remember that the longer you leave it the more chance of an accurate result, and it will save you disappointment and money on tests. I know it's easier said than done. Good luck!

Thank you - I think I'm super sensitive about every little thing happening now lol. My period isnt due until 26th and I'm like clockwork and have not had this before. I'm doing my own head in, I think I'm going to be so disappointed if it's a BFN :(
