Hi

Im 7 weeks pregnant. I have 2 boys and only had morning sickness with them. But yesterday all day i couldnt stop vomiting couldnt keep water down or food down couldn't even get out of bed. The only thing that stopped it was anti sickness tablets. My question is is this HG or was this just a one off.

Thanks

I'm sure you will know over the next few days if it is hyperemesis as it hits like a tonne of bricks.

Please be careful as it can make you dehydrated and other problems. My gp was great in establishing care and medication for me as I had it a second time this pregnancy (17 weeks now and improving). So if it is hyperemesis for you please go to your gp, the rule of thumb for me was if I couldn't keep down any food or water down for more than 48-72 hours I would be admitted to maternity unit at hospital for an iv drip.

Let us know how you get on
