Booking Appointment

I made my booking appointment yesterday.
It has just occurred to me that it will be taking place when I'm about 10 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I have read that it should be between 8-10 weeks. Does it matter that it's slightly over? Is this me needlessly worrying about little details?
Any advice would be great!

Congratulations Grin

I wouldn't worry. 3 days won't make a difference 😊

Also, the worrying gets better the further on you get. I was constantly worrying over anything and everything but now I'm 25 weeks, I'm much calmer! Smile

I had my booking appointment at 24 weeks 🤣

Congratulations. It won't matter at all. Your scan may change the date anyway.

It's really just giving info to community midwife. For example I was high risk after multiple losses. Had booking appointment at 21 weeks as was in regular contact with early pregnancy unit anyway for scans. Made no difference when I had booking appointment.

It's just a big form filling appointment, lots of questions to understand your history, any particular challenges or risks they need to look out for and an opportunity to set you up with many leaflets, a maternity notes pack and start setting your future appointments.

I took DH along thinking it would be more exciting and realised after he may as well of stayed at work Grin It was fun when they asked if I knew who the dad was, when I said yes, she asked, is it the man who's with you today. I replied if it's not, now probably wouldn't be the time to tell him, thinking I was being funny and she asked if we needed privacy to discuss anything. Had to reel that one back and stop making jokes.

Thanks for the reassuring responses! You've put my mind at rest :)
