How often does blood appear wk 39

I had a bloody show around 7am and then through the day some slightly pink discharge but nothing major

Now it's 11:30pm and had more blood showing - is it usual to have this twice? I'm having lots of movements and what I think are very early contractions - it's definitely not proper labour yet

Hesitant to call midwife but maybe I should

Any thoughts on having two shows after having relatively nothing coming out all day?

Put on a pad so you can keep an eye on it in case you get more blood, or in case your waters break.

If in doubt call the midwife (or the maternity assessment line or whatever).

Are you timing contractions?

First baby or not?

Best of luck!

Please call your midwifery team. Only they can safely assess this, and would prefer a false alarm any day.

You are not inconveniencing anyone by calling triage. Or your midwife if you can get through. But you should do that now.

I never had this with either of mine so I don't know. But there was no red blood after my bloody show came. Just the mucus.
