Mild bleeding

Hi - I'm 5+3 and had some brown streaked CM following a bowel motion this afternoon (sorry for TMI). It was just the once when I wiped and after that there has been nothing. I'm 40 so convinced it is all going to go wrong. Is this something to worry about?

Hi,

I had brown discharge when wiping at 5+6. Unlike you I had it after every wee so I called the EPU who scanned me and found a healthy baby with a heartbeat Smile .

It has continued for me and doctors aren't concerned about it at all, they only seem to be concerned if it is red blood or there are clots.

At 5+3 it's very likely to be left over from implantation. I had brown spotting with both my children, who are now 15 months and 3 weeks old :) mine was also worse after a bowel movement. It settled with both of them by the second trimester. If there's no fresh blood or pain it's very likely nothing to worry about. All the best with your pregnancy x
