Sharp Shooting Pains. Lower abdomen 14 weeks

Hi,

I'm so uncomfortable and in pain and have been for 3 days or so. I am getting shooting pains across my lower abdomen and into my groin with the pain level being around 7/8 out of 10. I don't have any accompanying bleeding so I don't think it's miscarriage.

I was told at my 12 week scan that I had a number of fibroids that were placed quite high on my uterus. Could it be that? I've also thought it could be trapped wind but I have had a bowel movement yesterday so maybe not. The other thing is maybe it's lightening crotch/fanny daggers Smile but I wasn't sure if I would get these so early on. I'm 14.5 weeks.
Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm so fed up, haven't been able to sleep for 3 nights in a row and am having a little cry.

Hi @ArtCatsPlants could it be pelvic gurdle pain?
I haven't experienced it (nearly 17wks), but I hope MN replies find you well and can help. Have you spoken to your midwife?
Wishing you well.

I hadn't thought (or heard) of that. I'm doing some reading on it now and it sounds similar to what I'm experiencing. I've left a message for the midwife and am expecting a call back, hopefully today. Thank you.
