Induction stories at 36-37 weeks

Hello, I'm due to be induced this Thursday or next Thursday (36-37 weeks) due to growth restriction and then fount that the PI on doppler was on the high side. So they are recommending induction.

My first was an induction, only took 2 hours to start off and then was in labour for only 7 hours. He was very comfy and was two weeks late, hence the induction. Maybe he needed a little kick start.

But this pregnancy has been all over the place since 20 weeks and for some reason I'm just so scared of induction not working and needing the hormone drip. I've heard they're intense! And I'm hoping to breastfeed, so im worried it wont work if he needs to go to NICU.

So I just want to hear your stories

If you need the hormone drip it doesn't mean induction didn't work, it's means the first part didn't encourage labour naturally. Do expect that that will happen that early just so you are not disappointed and anything better is a bonus. I was induced at 37 weeks and it took 3 days, a lot was waiting around. I only had one pessary for 24 hours then they broke my waters but there was a whole day between these due to staff shortages (I shit you not). The actual labour itself was 4 hours, active labour that it. No interventions, nor tears. Very very painful tho, definitely get the epidural as I left it too late and it was 100x worse than with my first that wasn't induced. This was all 4 weeks ago by the way

I was induced at 37 weeks. Had 2 pessarys 24 hours apart. Water broken on delivery at 2 cm dilated. Had hormone drip put in at half past 6 in the evening. Baby born at ten past 1 in tje morning. 6 hours or so of active labour.
