Forceps delivery recovery

I had my little girl 36 hours ago which ended in a forceps delivery
I’m very very sore down there from a cut and 2 small tears also have now got the worst piles!!
Just wondering how long it took for your recovery/ to feel better?

About 2 weeks for me, also super tired and couldn't walk far without feeling out of breath and dizzy (though that may have been due to blood loss rather than forceps). Dd had bump on her cheek which took 6 weeks to go.

Was prepared for the same recovery time with Dd2 but all went great and I was tapping my toes to go home a few hours after birth and then running around a soft play a few days after birth!

Had my DS 3 weeks ago with forceps delivery and it feels so much better now. I would say it took around 10 days before I barely noticed it anymore. Even though a bit sore the cut didn't bother me too much in the first place, it was more the hemorrhoids that caused me the most pain. It was right in the location where I had to scooch to get up out of bed or from a chair and the stinging was absolutely horrid!

I sat on ice packs and took paracetamol to ease the discomfort.

I had Kiellands forceps with my first. Think it took something like 2/3 weeks before I started feeling “back to normal” again. Take it easy

I was taking paracetamol and ibuprofen for about 4-5 weeks.

Had an episiotomy and then the stitches tore at week 3 which probably didn’t help.

16 weeks pp now and it’s imo back to normal.
