Labour or just first timer hope?!

So today at 39+4 I lost my mucus plug (but no bloody show), have been to the toilet multiple times and have been having on and off cramping (the cramps are no different to what I've had before though).

So what do you reckon? Should I get my hopes up or just stay bouncing on my ball eating pineapple and curry for a couple more weeks?

It could be ... I’m sure it won’t be a couple more weeks! But keep bouncing on that ball!

Some of my plug went on my due date then i had my daughter a week later. Hopefully soon or you though! 🙈

Ahh I hope it's sooner rather than later! Thanks for the responses! I wish labour started with bells and whistles so it was bloody obvious 😂 then I could stop second guessing.

I’m only 8 weeks with my first... but with my friends and sister I’ve heard you need three things to bring about labour: hot curry, hot bath and hot sex! ?? 🤣 not sure that’s what the midwives would advise!

Yes it could be bit your plug can come away in bits spreading weeks so it's not always a sure sign but with the cramps possibly things are starting Smile

With DD1, I had my bloody show at about 6pm and then she was born at 11am the next day.

With DD2, I think I lost my mucus plug over several days at around 39 weeks and she was born at 40+2 with no bloody show that I saw.
