So just had a growth scan and I'm 32+4 and baby is weighing 5bls 2oz... im.shocked because she was 2lb 12oz 4 weeks ago... to me that seems alot shes piled on in that time which I'm concerned at...

Have they got my due dates wrong.. as 35weeks a baby averagely weighs 5lbs.. which could be possible as my periods are so irregular I had to go with what baby was measuring at when I had my first scan..

She also has an above average AC size.. which looks like it could be because I may develop GD in the future.. all tests I had done at 28weeks and urine last week have been fine..

I have a consultants phone call a week today but I'm a bit concerned now.. should I be or is this normal and just a growth spurt 😶🙄

They can't pin down her actual weight, I was told mine was 9.6 the day before I delivered him and he was 8.12!

Yea I'm glad they arent 100% correct but worries me shes managed to put that much on.. I dont have anything to compare it to as ftm.. but I know every child is different..

Early scans are the best indicator of due date. Don’t worry. It is unlikely your dates are wrong. It is good that your baby is growing. There is a large margin of error for weight guesses.

If four weeks ago she had measured 3lb 1oz and this time 4lb 15oz would you have worried? That’s only a small change of 3oz and well within the margin of error.

If all your tests have been fine why are you worried about gd?

They can be drastically wrong. At 38 weeks I was told I was carrying a very large baby and was induced at 39 weeks. My DS was 5lb 5oz!! I was all water.

Been reading shit on Google which I always told myself I wouldn't do and they say a large baby and a baby that has a larger than average Abdominal circumference could be related to GD because it effects the baby first before the mother..

Think I'm having one of then stressy worrying days today that everything is worrying me

I was told I was having a really big baby and they needed to keep an eye on me, 5lb 14 delivered.

They don't really know.

They told me they thought my DD would be 10 pounds! I was about 38 weeks and I was panicking! She said she wouldn't let me past my due date as she didnt want her to get to big.
I went into labour on my due date (very punctual) and she was born 8.10. Still a big larger but not as big as I thought!! Haha she was really healthy and that's all I could ask for. But it scared the crap out of me I thought j was going to have a monster!!
