Thought I'd start a thread for anyone in the same boat and looking for other experiences. So feel free to share yours if you also had a sweep around the same time.
This is my second baby. My first arrived quickly and spontaneously at 39 weeks so this wait has taken me by surprise!
I had a first sweep 4 days ago, midwife said I was 2-3cm dilated but baby's head still not engaged. Started bleeding straight away and had a bloody show the morning after. Nothing since then other than Braxton Hicks when I nipple twiddle.
At the sweep today, seem to be around the same dilation and baby still not engaged. No blood this time but a little cervix pain when I walk since.
I have an appointment at the hospital tomorrow when they'll decide on when to do an induction. Really fed up with all the sign spotting and not knowing! So really hoping this sweep does something.
Anyone in a similar situation?
