Hi, I have just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant with my first child. Anyone else due in June? Due to it being my furst pregnancy I am paranoid about chemical pregnancies and miscarriage. It really doesn't help that my GP doesn't want to know until 8 weeks so feel a bit on my own and not sure what to expect

Hi @Trying4one congratulations!

I've also recently found out I'm pregnant and am due end of June. I completely understand how you're feeling as I had a MMC earlier this year so am really anxious too. I've been trying to stay positive but it's really difficult!

Do you have a local EPU? Depending on how many weeks you are, they may be able to offer you an early scan and confirm viability.

Trying4one · 12/10/2020 10:14

@SweetDreams92 there is a EPAC but you have to be referred. I am hoping that because I am deemed as a high risk pregnancy that I may have a scan soon. I have contacted my endocrinology consultant who is going to refer me to the maternity unit as I believe I am going to have doctor lead care. It feels a bit of a waiting game now.
Congratulations on your pregnancy 💖 fingers crossed our pregnancies stick 🤞
I believe I will be due 20th June ☺️

@Trying4one yes fingers crossed for sticky beans for us!

If you don't mind sharing, why is your pregnancy deemed high risk? I have epilepsy which is well controlled with medication but know there is a slightly increased risk for complications which isn't helping to ease my worry.

Aww my due date is not far from yours - 25th June. It's nice to have someone else to talk to at this early stage x

Happy2be · 12/10/2020 10:55

Hi congratulations! Theres a bigger june group on here and we also have a Facebook group going. If you would like added please pm me your email address and ill add you on!

Trying4one · 12/10/2020 10:57

@SweetDreams92 I was on cabergoline for high prolactin levels and have been on it since I was 17 due to a tumour on my pituitary gland. I have had to come off the medication due to becoming pregnant so they need to keep an eye on my tumour and hormone levels over the pregnancy. I should be fine but just need to be kept an eye on.
I take it you can stay on your meds whilst pregnant? I am sure you will be fine but it is the while unknown isn't it 🙈
It is isn't it ☺️ I haven't told any family yet so can't speak to any of them yet about it. My mum used to be a midwife so will be useful once I tell her. I have told one friend who recently had a baby and she said I will never not worry again 🤦😂

@Trying4one ah I see, must have been really tough going through that especially at such a young age. Glad you will be monitored closely though and wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy ahead x Yes I am still on the medication (lamotrigine) which is one of the safest anti-seizure drugs during pregnancy.

@Happy2be thank you for letting us know. I will join in on that thread 😊

Hey guys 👋 I’m due on the 9th of June. I have 3 girls already. Sadly I’ve also had 7 miscarriages (3 since my last baby). I’m under care of the recurrent miscarriage clinic so desperately hoping they will arrange a scan in the next couple of weeks 🤞

Wishing you both a happy healthy 9 months

Trying4one · 12/10/2020 12:34

@Moo678 hi 👋 fingers crossed you get a early scan. My friend who recently had a baby said to me I will never not worry again 😂 seems that way. You worry about getting pregnant and then worry about the pregnancy sticking 🤦 fingers crossed for sticking beans 🤞

OP posts:
SweetDreams92 · 12/10/2020 12:47

Hi @Moo678 sorry to hear about your miscarriages. Fingers crossed it's good news in a couple of weeks!

@Trying4one haha at your friend not sugarcoating it! 😆

Have you had any symptoms so far?

Trying4one · 12/10/2020 13:03

@SweetDreams92 I had some mild cramping last week. They were like mild period cramps. Not getting them so much now. I had a little bit of nausea a week ago but that has disappeared for the moment. How about you?

OP posts:
SweetDreams92 · 12/10/2020 13:55

The only symptoms I've had so far are a couple bouts of headaches and dizzy spells. The last time I got pregnant I had horrendous nausea and being sick - really hoping I don't experience that this time around! 😣

Trying4one · 12/10/2020 14:27

@SweetDreams92 I am really hoping I don't get nausea. I don't deal very well with being sick 🤣🤣

Hi all! Hope you don't mind me joining? I'm currently 5 weeks + 5 days which makes me due beginning of June 2021! Very excited, first pregnancy.

Symptoms I have experienced so far are :- slight cramping/twinges, extreme tiredness and slight nausea.. But its mostly the tiredness that's getting me!

Yesterday afternoon I experienced some pinky discharge, not enough to wear a pad but enough to see it when I wipe after weeing. It's just happened again this afternoon. Obviously you think the worst don't you but just wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms? I have read spotting is common.. Its just not nice to witness is it!

Thank you xx

Trying4one · 12/10/2020 15:18

@GG2707 more the merrier.
I have IBS and I had only just got it settled down before falling pregnant and now I am blowing up like a balloon 🤣🤣 I get an occasional cramp but not as much as I was last week.
I am yet to get extreme tiredness but I generally get a bit of tiredness over the winter months anyway as my vitamin d levels usually dip, so I am not sure if I. Just used to it?! 😂
I haven't had any spotting yet. My period was only due yesterday so I think I may freak out of I saw blood 🤣
@SweetDreams92 I have called the GP surgery and this receptionist was better and booked me in for a GP telephone appointment on Thursday. She said he would be able to book a early scan if I need it

OP posts:
SweetDreams92 · 12/10/2020 15:36

Hey @GG2707 congratulations! I think spotting at this stage is quite common so try not to worry and just keep an eye out if it worsens (easier said than done I know!).

@Trying4one glad to hear about the telephone appointment. Hopefully it gives you some reassurance x

Starrr123 · 16/10/2020 19:52

Hi guys!
Im 6 weeks and feeling sooo ill! Not being sick but dizzy lightheaded, eyes hurting going blurry, headaches and just wanna stay on the sofa. Is anyone else feeling so rubbish 😩😩 i just wanna feel normal xxx

ShinyBadger · 16/10/2020 20:21

Hi, can I join too?
Congratulations to you all!

I know how you feel I have short cycles of 24 days so only just 4.5 weeks now. Feel nauseous and tired and had cramping for the past two days and a little brown old blood discharge/spotting.
I had a miscarriage back in February and I am also scared this will go the same way. Just want to get to 6 weeks then 8,10,12 etc I just have this awful feeling that I’m going to have a miscarriage again.

Trying4one · 21/10/2020 14:30

@ShinyBadger I feel for you. Nothing has happened until it happens so think positive thoughts 😂. How are you feeling today? I had to have a early scan today so got to see the sac (only 5 plus 3) ❤️

OP posts:
ShinyBadger · 21/10/2020 18:56

@Trying4one thank you. How are you?
I also should be 5+3 today.
Did you see a yolk sac Or just the gestation sac so far?
I’m still scared - havent told OH yet.... was going to wait to Sunday wanted to get to 6 weeks.

Trying4one · 21/10/2020 19:15

@ShinyBadger I told my OH straight away. I couldn't hold it in 😂
Are you getting any symptoms?
Just gestational sac but they could see the beginning of the yolk sac too. Going back again for another scan in 2 weeks

OP posts:
ShinyBadger · 21/10/2020 19:24

I would of but he is under a lot of stress and has a very big work meeting on Saturday- i didn’t want to take his focus from that. So thought I would wait till that is done, also hopefully he will be less moody after the meeting too..... There is hope!

I wonder if mine is the Same then should have a yolk sac starting to form to.

So my symptoms are a Constant Feeling of travel sickness, bloating and sore nipples if I touch them. Have had some period type cramping normally if I am sitting down for too long.

What about you?

ShinyBadger · 21/10/2020 19:24

@Trying4one sorry forgot to tag you!

Trying4one · 21/10/2020 19:29

@ShinyBadger it is always guess work whether a man is going to be moody or not 🤣 fingers crossed for you. How long were you trying for?
I have been having mild period type cramps, I have sore nipples and eating loads 😂 I have also been tired.

OP posts:
ShinyBadger · 21/10/2020 19:45

@Trying4one yes they are! Could be anything also.... bad day at work, no milk coz they used it all and didn’t say.... the list goes on!

Well a year to the day since I had my coil removed and then had a miscarriage in feb, then didn’t have a proper period since but very short 24 day cycles. Children were never in our plan for life - been together 10 years but after I had my coil out because I had to have a lettz he wouldn’t have a vasectomy, he said what will be will be....
so hopefully what will be will be a healthy baby! 😊😊🙏

Im not that tired yet.... but have no concentration at all and completely unproductive at work..... takes me hours to do small task!

Trying4one · 21/10/2020 20:06

@ShinyBadger they say we are bad as well 😂🤦

Aww fingers crossed for you. I came off the pill in January but still used condoms up until August. We have been together nearly 11 years. I wouldn't call myself maternal and we love our lifestyle at the moment but at 31 we have realised that time is no longer on our side so now is as good a time as any.
Oh yeah my concentration isn't great either 🤦
