The best ones are the silicone ones that catch the let down from the side you aren't feeding on. Amazing. The plug in ones are a massive faff.

Except that letdown can be a fraction of the amount you'd get by actively pumping.

I also found it would bloody fall off once my boob had gone down a bit...

@Lilice thank you! Has it been any good?

I have the medela swing single which I used with my first. Honestly wish I’d invested in the double though. The haaka silicon pumps are brilliant. I used to use one on the opposite side when feeding my DS. It felt like free milk but obv didn’t get as much as proper pumping

You might also be able to get a medela (or similar) pump second hand and just buy new tubes and other parts that actually touch milk, I’m sure they do packs on the website. That might help to keep cost down.

The bellababy from amazon is about £40 and is a brilliant electric double pump. I had the elvie and that was a complete waste of money.

There's loads of support groups on Facebook which are really helpful.

@Sinead543 yes im happy with it. My baby just 3 weeks so I havent used it for long but so far so good, it does the jump and I like the fact that it's rechargeable and I don't have to plug it in to use it. I dont use it as a double though because otherwise I've no free hands. So I use a haaka on one side and the pump on the other

I agree with the review about bellababy pump!

Thank you! I didn’t realise there was so many cheaper options
