Just wondering if it is normal to feel as though your tummy muscles are strained. Sometimes I will even move (to sit myself up) and I will feel like I have pulled a tummy muscle as if I have been exercising (I haven't).

This is our second and I know it's possible to show earlier with second (which I'm not yet) but I don't remember feeling these muscular discomforts with my first.

TIA x

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and Ive had this too for a few weeks, like a sudden sharp pull in my lower belly when I sit up or cough. I think it's normal, just part of things stretching down there!

Hello, I am nearly 8 weeks pregnant with my second and feeling the same! Sometimes I feel nearly 8 months pregnant with the strains in my belly. Started with a stitch feeling and how feel like I pulled a muscle x

Thank you for the quick responses! It's good to know that it seems to be normal, as I imagined it to be! 😊

@Semele5069 @mylittlebean2019 how have you two been with nausea and sickness? I didn't have anything whatsoever with my first, but for 2-3 weeks now, I have really struggled all day every day! Not been physically sick yet but have had bad nausea all day every day, the only thing that settles it is eating (which I hate doing as I don't want to pile the weight on). I ha e twice now got to the point where I'm wrenching, even brushing my teeth makes me wretch! I don't really know how to combat it and it's starting to be a big struggle in work as well!

If you have any tips, please share! Xxx

I'm 8+5 and i get a sharp pain when I stand up as well. I didn't have this in april/may when I was last pregnant as I'd had a mmc so I'm taking it as a good sign.
