UTI?!

Hello! Apologies is TMI... I feel like my whole lower abdomen is on fire, and it’s swollen and sensitive to the touch... Doesn’t really sting when I go but I’m on progesterone pessaries so I’ve given up knowing what’s normal down there!

I spoke to my doctor and they thought it was a UTI and immediately put me on antibiotics while waiting for the test results.

Unfortunately it’s gotten so much worse over the weekend. It’s my first baby (4weeks 3 days) and I’m so anxious !

Has anyone had this ?

I have had UTIs for 9 weeks and just finished my third course of antibiotics. The main thing I found was that I felt desperate for the toilet much more frequently and when I went, only a little would come out. It didn't really burn though.

Other than that I had a constant low ache in my tummy, but not sure I'd describe it as fire.

Have you noticed going more often?

Hard to say - had IVF FET transfer and they said to drink 2-3 litres a day so I figure I’d be weeing constantly anyway!

Heard back from the doctor and my tests came back negative (a tiny bit of blood but they weren’t worried so telling myself I shouldn’t worry either? )
He said it was nothing to worry about but it’s definitely not a nice feeling! Sticking on the antibiotics - maybe it’s just irritated by all the drinking and weeing!
