Sore vagina - 39+2 weeks

Hi

I am hoping for some advice! I am 39+2 with my third baby and I am suffering with what I can only describe as a sore vagina Blush

At first I put it down to ‘lightening crotch’ but this is a constant sore pain on the left side which at time’s feels like something is almost stuck there? I went to the maternity ward as along with this I’ve been generally unwell showing signs of a uti which I had already been taking antibiotics from my doctor for. At the hospital they put it down to the UTI and changed my antibs as decided the other ones where not clearing it up. It’s been 2 days and the new medication is quickly clearing up all my other symptoms but I am still very uncomfy down below.

Has anyone else had this because I am starting to feel crazy!

TIA for any advice x

Have you been physically examined?

Feeling "like something is almost stuck there" - as in lumpy? Could it be a varicose vein?

Hi thanks for your reply

I should of said at the maternity ward they said I had some fatty tissue but didn’t think it’s a cyst. It is swollen but they didn’t seem to think it’s a varicose vein. I’m just really struggling at times with the pain down there and I think the pressure of the baby being very engaged isn’t helping x

Coconut oil can help reduce any friction on your labia when it’s swollen and under pressure at this late stage? I liberally apply after every shower!

Oh bless you, that sounds really unpleasant.

I don’t think it probably is this at all but adenomyosis could be something to consider.
