I am 39 + 5 and the last couple of days I have noticed an increase in the amount of cervical mucus I am producing. There doesn't seem to be anything unusual about it - just the same as always but more of it! Is this to do with a build up towards labour or is it something I should be worried about?

Anyone have any idea or is this a TMI question?

Might just be your plug/operculum/show.

If no pain/discomfort/constant leaking then sit ack and chill, wait for the big event

Lulumama · 12/10/2007 16:02

operculum, now there;s a word

if it is blood tinged, that is also a good sign .. bloody show is a sign of dilation/effacement starting..

but you do get an icnrease in discharge anyway

keep us posted !

LOL Lulumama I told you I have this problem with technical terms and unemotional posts.

Lulumama · 12/10/2007 16:39

I had an increase for several weeks before hand! Sorry not what you would want to hear right now. Hope you have a lovely labour not too long away!

@ lulumama

There is no blood - it's just the normal stuff. There is just a lot more of it than normal! As long as it's fine though then that's good
