Headaches in pregnancy

Hello, has anyone had bad headaches in pregnancy? I'm 11wk3 and this last week has been unbearable. I was at the midwife on Tuesday and she said my blood pressure was low so it can't be blood pressure related.

I'm struggling really that that I end up being sick. Any advice would be appreciated!

I've tried paracetamol only as my midwife recommended it and migraine patches

Low blood pressure can lead to headaches too. Maybe google low blood pressure headache and see what the advice is. I hope you feel better soon.

@Rebecca299 i have had a few days these migraines.
What i did and found helpful is to lie down in low light and no disturbance with a cold towel on my face and forehead. Plenty of water and paracetamol.

I know it's horrible feeling coupled with sickness. It will pass though...

I had these until I was about 13 weeks and then they disappeared as did my friend who was pregnant at the same time as me , hopefully your reaching the end of the it !
The first trimester really is horrid for nasty symptoms !

I got awful headaches if I didn't eat regularly enough. Was never much of a snacker pre-pregnancy but had to to keep the headaches away.

Finding it very hard to kick the habit now though!

I had the most terrible headaches with both kids when pregnant. Always around 18-20 weeks for around a month. I went to the GP the first time but ultimately it was down To hormones. Took paracetamol and used 4head. I had to have some time off work they were awful! Fingers crossed will pass soon.

I got major headaches from pregnacare
Vitamins- when I stopped taking them
And just took folic and vit D the headaches went

Pregnacare made my migraines awful and they also upset my bowel to the point I ended up in A&E.

Switched to folic acid and vit D only and was absolutely fine

Thanks everyone, I'm hoping the next week or so will be better, I have an 8 year old who we still haven't told her she will be a big sister so been feeling guilty going to bed early etc. I have a scan on Tuesday so looking forward to that.

I can't remember feeling like this the last time but I suppose it was a long time ago 🤣🤣

I started getting headaches at about 11 weeks, im 14 Weeks now.

Im not one to suffer with headaches (when im not pregnant)
But i have googled alot and apparently its very common in pregnancy and is hormone related.
