Maternity Leave - 2 contracts same employer

Good afternoon,

Wondering if anyone has any experience of taking maternity leave when you have 2 part-time contracts with the same employer?

I have two separate contracts for different jobs in the same department, both 2.5 days a week, two different salary scales that appear as two separate lines of pay on my monthly pay slip, separate pension contributions etc...

Can I treat these as two separate jobs in that I request maternity leave to start on the same date for both, but for Job A request 9 months leave and Job B request 5 months leave and return to Job B before I return to Job A?

Logic tells me that I can do that as I hold these two positions independently of each other despite essentially working in the same team for both jobs, but just wanted to see if other people can see something I've missed that wouldn't make that feasible.

Thanks in advance!

I’m guessing you aren’t a PAYE

My income tax and NI contributions are paid by my employer and come straight out of my pay if that’s what you mean?

Ah yes. So you aren’t self employed/contract with employer?
Would have to refer to company policy but I don’t see why there is a problem.
