16 week appointment at 17+2

Hi everyone. I am 14+2 weeks pregnant and had my 12 week scan on Monday which pushed my dates forward a little bit. I have my 16 week appointment with the midwife booked in but my new dates mean that it will actually be at 17+2. I’m probably really overthinking this but is this ok? Is there anything that needs to be done/discussed where this would make a difference?
Thank you!

The 16 week appointment doesn't really do a lot, just the midwife checking you're ok and no questions, mine was a quick 10 minute phone call so I'm sure it'll be fine 😊 and congratulations 🎉

Mine was 3 minutes on the phone at 15 weeks! It's more of a check in rather a full appointment which you should get after 24/25 weeks.

Mine was yesterday and we didn't go through much.. heard the baby's heartbeat, took my blood as I'm rhesus negative and that was about it

Mine was a brief and entirely pointless phone call. So don't think timing matters very much!

Thank you everyone! Won’t bother calling midwife to change it then.

Mostly the 16week appt is fact checking /info .

Making sure all Blood results received from booking - organising Anti D if Rhesus neg etc

Discuss whooping vaccine and book/ask mum to book if wish to have . Discuss Flu vaccine if in time frame etc

Checking combined screening been done, Nuchal results received or quad done if missed etc

Check anomaly booked

Check consultant / other referral appointments received

Opportunity to ask questions

Make 25 ( if first baby) or 28 week appt

Discuss how and why to access help- eg movements bleeding etc

Ideally a blood pressure urine and dependent on trust policy a fetal heart taken. Nice state not needed to later in pregnancy

So can be after 16 weeks so your appointment will be fine x

I didn't have my 16 week appointment until 18 weeks with twins so wouldn't worry about it. They just check blood pressure and might listen for the heartbeat but that's it

There aren't many midwife appointments that need to be done at exactly the given week.
If anything it is a slight advantage to be a week further along. At the 16 week appointment in some areas they see if they can detect the heartbeat on a doppler. It is not a guarantee that they will which is why some areas don't do it. Another weeks growth might make it more likely.
