Placenta Questions

I noticed at my 28 week growth scan that the placenta was noted as high and clear. Will it stay like this for the rest of the pregnancy. My sister had a low lying placenta and had so much trouble. Could mine change and become low lying?

I'm 32 weeks and baby is breech and very low down. I read that if baby is breech it can cause problems with the placenta. Anyone know anything to ease my anxieties?

@Patience1990 no it shouldn't move down you'll be fine

High and clear are excellent words when describing a placenta. The placenta cannot move as such, it is attached to the wall of the uterus via blood vessels. These do not move. The placenta only appears to 'move' as it can change position as the uterus grows larger. But it can never 'move' down. Low lying placentas are dangerous as they can lead to serious bleeding and they can also 'block the exit' so to speak. You do not have this scenario. Breech babies are another matter but as you are 32 weeks there is still plenty of time for baby to hopefully turn around. 🤞🤞🤞
