First response rapid tests

Hey, just wondered if anyone has experienced a false positive result with the first response rapid result 45 second pee sticks?

Got 2 lines, the test line is darker than the control line (which strikes me as odd anyway) and 2 of the reviews on Superdrug website say they had false positives from it so I'm a little hmph about the whole thing now.

Can you lovely lot share your experiences please?

I took one on Monday. Test line was darker than control too. My AF was 1 day late. Today's CB digital says 2-3 so i found it accurate.

I trust Furst Responses. Way more than any blue dye or supermarket test. You dont say how late you are but the test line often becomes darker than control on FRERs once your period is late.

Thanks for your replies 😊 I'm 2 weeks late but we've been ttc for 7 years so I'm a little hesitant in taking this little stick's word for it! My pregnancies have all resulted in early losses and my last pregnancy was 5 years ago so I had all but lost any hope some time ago. Never thought I'd see those little lines again! Can only stay positive that this will be a very very sticky bean 🙏

I used a first response with first pregnancy with DD, test line came up darker than control which I thought was odd too so double checked the next day with a clear blue digital which came up 3+ weeks

I used FRERs. I tested again at 16DPO and the test line showed up within seconds and was darker than the control line. I'm 7+2 now x
