Is this Braxton Hicks?

Hi all! I'm currently 21+2 weeks pregnant and had some weird pains today. I last had this pain just before my 20 weeks scan and baby was doing great so not too worried about baby!

The pain starts when I stand up and it's like a wave which starts from my lower back and then covers the left side of my abdomen.

I'm struggling to understand how you tell if it's Braxton Hicks or anything online.

I have had round ligament pain and it doesn't feel like that at all.

Thanks in advance Smile

@funnyrubberducky
Could it be your baby is pushing on a nerve? I've been getting this, and it sends shooting pains down me, but like you I've recently had a scan, so I just try and move around and pace the room when I get it! Xx

If it’s BH your tummy will feel hard to press. All over - not just where the baby is.

It sounds more likely that it’s to do with the position baby is sitting in.

I'm 25 weeks pregnant with 5th baby and having Braxton hicks from morning to night. My stomach goes so tight but no pain, just a bit uncomfortable.

It could be growing pains, but unsure if that's the same thing as ligament pains as I get those kind if pains up my sides from time to time
