Sorry for the ranty post, just need to off load I think. Feeling so stressed, I’m 24 weeks pregnant, officially living at parents, but as my brother is also there it’s very cramped and their medical conditions means there’s no way I could have a baby there.
Partner runs and lives above a pub so also not suitable to live there with a baby as well as DD. Can’t afford the rent on houses. On council list but no houses coming up on there.
Working loads of extra hours at work as need the money but I’m really burned out, just so exhausted everyday. My dentist has just told me that they’re moving everyone to private so no longer get the free maternity dental and have two fillings that need doing. And today I had my whooping cough and flu vaccine and now my left arm is so painful. Just feeling a lot getting on top of me at the moment.

Sorry for the long post.

Congratulations OP. Sorry to hear your stressed at the moment!
How long have you been on the waiting list for a house?
Is your partner working too?

Oneandabean · 06/10/2020 20:10

@Lillysnotroses only since I was about 12 weeks pregnant so not long.
He works two jobs, but main one is the pub. We need to get out of there ASAP though which will obviously mean he’s only got his other job a couple of days a week, and jobs are quite hard to find at the moment to get anything else.

I hope something turns up for you housing wise. NHS website is good for jobs.
At least you can save even though it’s not ideal living with your family.

Oneandabean · 06/10/2020 20:41

@Lillysnotroses it means sleeping on the sofa which I’m struggling with. This lockdown has made everything really difficult.

Ohhh no OP. Can’t you rent a room in a shared house for now? The quickest way to get rehoused would be to explain to the council that you no longer can live at your parents house... and they would place you in some kind of temporary accommodation. As your expecting a baby staying on the council list is in your interest rather than private renting.

Oneandabean · 06/10/2020 23:47

@Lillysnotroses with the Covid issues there isn’t any shared accommodation at the moment and I live in a small town where shared housing is rare. The council are aware of being unable to stay there, we are banded silver but as there are no houses we’re not likely to get anything

Sorry to hear about everything. Re private dentist, they can still accept you for free nhs care with the form from your midwife - mine has x

Oneandabean · 07/10/2020 08:58

@wannabebump I asked yesterday and they said they won’t accept the maternity exemption as they’re now private.
