Mini pill and pregnancy

Hey :) ive had a baby 8 weeks ago and had my check up appointment at the docs. She mentiond contraception and we discussed it. So i started the mini pill (cerelle). I started the pill 8 days ago and I had sex just today. Is there a chance i could get pregnant? The doctor told me wait 7 days, but ive also read to wait 21 days and also read 2 days! So i wondered if there were any experiences or stories? Xx

@Namam17 What does the advice booklet in the pack say? My mini pill is 7 days.

The patient information leaflet is the best place to look (the leaflet that comes in the box). Mine says after 3 weeks post partum you need to wait 7 days to be protected by the pill. Provided you have taken it as directed (some have to be taken within a 4h window but others have a 12h window) you should be covered at 8 days after starting the pill.

I started cerelle 6 weeks after my son and waited 7 days as per doctors instructions so you should be fine x
