Hi all,

First pregnancy and just feeling a bit anxious about everything and over thinking!

I was wondering if people could share their experiences with round ligament pain please? Did you have it long? Did it last all day? Etc

Thank you x

@firsttimemamax
I'd scroll down to find the other thread on pelvic hurdle pain that was this morning as many ladies have given tips on there.
Think the post was called A&E for pelvic hurdle pain. X

Oh actually I've read it totally wrong! You're talking about ligament, oh well, ignore my note about the other group then!! X

Feels like cramping or stretching. Doesn’t last all day for me but I have had it continuously throughout my pregnancy, I’m 32 weeks now and still get it especially if I move after being in the same position for ages. It’s nothing to worry about. Obviously any prolonged or severe pain needs medical attention but mild cramps are normal.

I started getting it at about 5 weeks pregnant which seems really early. It feels like a really sharp sudden pain. I kept panicking early on that The placenta had ripped off (silly I know but that’s how it felt) it was when I’d move or sneeze. Now I’m 23 weeks and weirdly haven’t had anything for several weeks now.

How far gone are you @firsttimemamax ? I'm ten weeks tomorrow and have had noticeably bad pains on my left side this morning. I ended up speaking to someone who reassured me and said its v common up to 12 weeks. Unless you're bleeding or experiencing severe pain I wouldn't worry too much x
