I'm 25weeks literally 26 tomorrow I went to my antenatal appointment and urine was fine and my blood pressure was 120/80 my midwife didn't say anything about it so I guess it fine I have now got this annoying headache that's right at the front of my forehead and I feel a bit sickish ... my partner is saying maybe I need to eat something so after I post this I will try and see if it helps do you guys think I should call the maternity triage ? x

Yes, call triage. Better to be safe than sorry!

For me, my severe pe developed quickly. Called triage who said to come in to get checked out (didn’t have any symptoms apart from mental water retention to the point of my legs springing leaks) and two days later my babies were delivered.

Always call if you’re unsure - they’d rather you call and it be a false alarm than not.

@MuchTooTired thank you for your fast reply I did call them and they said I should take 2 paracetamol and wait an hour and see if it does not feel better I should call back .. I'm going to take 1 though

I was going to suggest taking paracetamol and then re-evaluate. I had the same with my first, though a bit later on. They got me in, checked my blood and urine and took my BP, as well as monitoring the baby for a while and concluded all was fine, just a head ache! Hope it's similar for you! I would recommend taking two paracetamol if that's what they said though!

@Letmegetthisrightasawoman I'm searching every where and I can't find any paracetamol 😩 I ran out

Mine escalated quickly, but BP crept up slowly at first over a few weeks & a trace of protein in my urine became an amount for concern etc.

From a high BP at antenatal, causing my midwife to send me to hospital to get checked out to DS1 being delivered as an emergency as I’d lost consciousness was a matter of hours however.

Your BP is actually the low end of normal at 120. I would try not to worry.

@CoffeeRunner okay I will try not worry but I will keep an eye out on it my partner ran to Tesco to get some paracetamol

Well done on calling them, that’s great. I’ll keep everything crossed for you that it’s just a headache and it’ll go within the hour! Obviously don’t want to tell you what to do (!) but if they’ve said take two I’d take two.

Good luck!

Hi @AlwaysBelieve19 yes if they’ve said to take 2, take 2 - the reason is that if the paracetamol doesn’t relieve the headache and it’s just the same it could be pre eclampsia related.
It can come on very quickly but it’s unusually that early in pregnancy.
Headaches can be linked to high blood pressure and not be pre eclampsia - I’ve been diagnosed with hypertension of pregnancy basically elevated BP cause by pregnancy and medicated for it. Just keep an eye - if you’re still worried they’ll have you in and do bloods, urine, BP to check.
